Solid spin on the Qix concept.

Not fun. All the upgrades are too expensive after the initial ones (knew I was in trouble when upgrades jumped from 50 to 800), not that it matters because from what I can tell the only point to this is to knock out and collect jewels from the UFO. Maybe if collecting the jewels was an active part of the experience instead of something a blob of pixels did automatically this would be more worthwhile but as is, its a pretty shallow and pointless experience.

The game loaded up with no disabilities to speak of, which I assume was a glitch. It was STILL too tedious to finish. The collision detection is too touchy and most levels expect you to hop between platforms for too long to finish a level. I don't even want to imagine what it would have been like with purposely bad viability or controls.

You really could have called this "fake difficulty: the game" and lost nothing.

Kcori responds:

Can you elaborate on the collision detection being touchy?

Barely qualifies as a game. Theres also zero explanation of the mechanics so you can't even take joy in seeing your numbers go up.

Terrible. The stages are too easy (just fly all the way to the right and stay there) and the bosses are just cheap. For the record, its not a mark of pride if your game is unbeatable, it just means you did a bad job designing it.

So was I wanna be the guy but people don't bitch about that. Sun fish. And you obviously didn't make it very far if you can survive by being on the right edge.

Obviously stolen content. "Neave" isn't a nickname, its the surname of Paul Neave, the person who really made this game.

CoconutBryer responds:

Do not believe this person, there is a person known as Paul Neave, but we are two separate people, that Neave is a different one.

Yes its hard, but in a sort of thoughtless way. Most of my attempts were ruined either by unfair projectile patterns or the boss ramming the bottom of the screen and then pinning me in a corner. Not worth the effort to beat, even with the auto-fire mode.

Feels untested and unfinished. The lack of sound effects is really offputting and hit boxes and physics feel really wonky.

Stop submitting barely half finished games. All you do here is click and press space once in awhile. Theres no way to lose. Its boring.

What a miserable effort. Like Bowser's Revenge there are too many amateur level problems and mistakes that make this absolutely joyless to play. The screen is zoomed out too far, Mario is too floaty and moves too fast, the background scrolls forward faster than the foreground, and you have to click "again" inbetween lives which, between this and Bowser's Revenge HIT COLLAPSE TWICE TO RESTART garbage just makes me think the author doesn't know how to properly code a death sequence.

You'd be better off studying up and practicing to release one good game than a mess of half-hearted ones.
